Chebera-Churchura National Park is situated in the western side of the central Omo Gibe basin, between Dawro zone and Konta Special Woreda of Ethiopia.

It is approximately 330 km southwest of Hawassa and 460 km southwest of Addis Ababa. Spanning an area of 1215 km2, the park encompasses altitudes ranging from 700 to 2450 meters above sea level (m.a.s.l.).

The park boasts an abundance of rivers and streams, along with four small creator lakes (Koka, Shasho, Keriballa) that contribute to its rich wildlife resources. The Zigina River originates from the northeastern highlands and traverses the central part of the park from north to south, eventually feeding into the Omo River. Additionally, the park is crossed by various perennial rivers that also flow into the Omo River. The Shoshuma River originates from the northwestern highlands of the Konta area and intersects the northeastern part of the park, merging with the Zigina River inside the park before joining the Omo River.
